Summer League Cups, round 1

What was originally scheduled as Round 1 — postponed due to bad weather — finally took place as the closing round of the group stage, and it delivered decisive outcomes across all divisions, locking in the semifinal line-ups for the cup.

Division 1
Global sealed their dominance at the top of the table with a confident win over Randburg, while Flying Eagles clinched the second qualifying spot. Over in Group B, Joburg City impressed with a 4-1 victory against Sundowners, joining Barcelona in the semifinals.

Division 2
Lenasia stormed to a commanding 6-0 win over GPMI, claiming top honors in their group alongside Leeds. In the other group, Old Parks had already booked their place, but it was Rush FC who edged through to the final four.

Division 3
Old Parks 2 and Panorama advanced after the latter’s 4-1 win over Randburg. Meanwhile, Sandton Warriors defeated Florida in a high-scoring 6-3 thriller — though both sides progressed from the group thanks to earlier results.

The stage is now set — it’s semifinal time!
