Summer League 2025/26 – 1st round

The two divisions opened with a balanced first round, producing 5 draws in 8 matches.

Division 1
Only the reigning champions Joburg City (5-1 vs Barcelona) and Global (3-1 vs Highlands Park) secured victories. The other fixtures ended level: Rietvlei vs GPMI (1-1) and Randburg vs Lenasia (1-1).

Division 2
Panorama and Randfontein played out a goalless draw, while both Warriors vs Leeds and Old Parks 2 vs Randburg AFC 2 finished 3-3. The only win came from Old Parks, who edged Rush FC 2-1.

The League will kick off on 17 September, with the following scheduled breaks:

  • 24 September – National Holiday
  • 29 October – Catch-up Week #1
  • 3 December – Catch-up Week #2
  • 4 December to 13 January – Christmas Break
  • 4 February – Catch-up Week #3
  • 10 March – Catch-up Week #4

The final round will take place on 24 March, just before the Easter break.

Afterwards, the Champions League Cup will begin, following the usual format.

Winter League ends, the final tables

Here are the final tables of the 3 divisions in the 2025 Winter League.
For the first time since we began tracking stats, every team managed at least one victory, while no side completed the season unbeaten.
All three division titles were decided only in the final rounds, underlining the remarkable balance across the leagues.

Winter League – 16th round results

In Division 1, Joburg City were crowned champions after a 2-1 win over Sundowners, capitalising on Global’s 2-1 home defeat to Highlands Park B. Highlands Park temporarily moved up to second place.

In Division 2, the final catch-up game of the season saw Leeds beat Old Parks 8-2, securing a joint second-place finish alongside Lenasia and Rietvlei.

Winter League – 15th round results

Division 1
Joburg City took a decisive step towards the title with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Highlands Park B. Sundowners also impressed, securing a 4-2 victory at Randburg, which keeps them firmly in the race for third place.

Division 2
Lenasia closed their season in style with a crucial 3-2 victory against Rietvlei, capping off their strong campaign with an excellent second-place finish. Champions Barcelona underlined their dominance with a 3-0 win over Olympia.

Division 3
The season concluded with Rush climbing to fifth after an outstanding late run, sealed by a 3-2 win over Old Parks 2. Florida also rose in the standings, moving up to third following a 5-2 win at Randburg.

The Division 2 and Division 3 Champions

In one of the tightest seasons in years, the Division 2 and Division 3 champions were only decided in the latest round. With Division 1 still wide open, this has been the closest title race across all divisions in a long time.

Winter League – 14th round results

We are approaching the end of the season, and the first two champions have been crowned.

In Division 1, the title race remains wide open. Joburg City (4-3 winners over Randburg) and Global (3-0 winners against Sundowners) are separated by just one point, with Highlands Park only two points behind.

In Division 2, Barcelona sealed the championship with a 3-0 win over Warriors. They took full advantage of Rietvlei and Old Parks drawing 1-1, finishing three points clear of both Rietvlei and Lenasia (who beat Lenasia United 5-2) and still with a game in hand.

In Division 3, GPMI secured the title by beating Randfontein 3-0. Panorama pushed them all the way, ending just one point behind after defeating Old Parks 4-2. Rush edged Florida 2-1 in the other fixture.

Winter League – 13th round results

A few more games remain before we know the winners of each league.

Division 1: Highlands Park B have overtaken Joburg City and Global United to move into first place after a 6–2 victory over Randburg.

Division 2: Barcelona’s draw with Old Parks allowed Rietveli (3–0 vs Olympia 2) to close the gap to just 1 point, with only two games left.

Division 3: The battle at the top continues to swing, with GPMI now leading the race after an 11–0 win over Randburg. Panorama lost 3–1 at home to Rush, while Old Parks edged Randfontein 1–0.

Winter League – 12th round results

With the season entering its final stages, all three divisions remain undecided, ensuring excitement at every level.

Division 1
Global climbed into second place with a 4-1 victory over Randburg, while Highlands Park secured third by defeating Sundowners 6-0. The top three are now separated by just three points: Joburg City leads, holding one game in hand; Global sits one point behind; Highlands Park is two points adrift.

Division 2
Leeds’ 6-1 win against Warriors moved them into second place, just two points behind Barcelona, who also have a game in hand. Lenasia maintained fifth position with a 7-3 win over Olympia.

Division 3
Panorama topped the table after beating Florida 2-1 and benefitting from GPMI’s scheduled rest week. Randfontein missed the chance to close the gap, drawing 2-2 with Rush. Old Parks 2 notched their first win of the season, beating Randburg 5-0.
