Winter League 2023 – information

The Winter League will start next week, the 7th of June. There are 3 divisions with 7 teams each, for 14 rounds.

Only one week break the 12th of July in order to organize catch-up games. Any game that is not played that night will end up with a double header on the return leg.

After the last round in September, there will be a 3 rounds FA-Cup system for each division.

Finals results

In Division 1, Joburg Atletico beat Warriors 1 3-1

In Division 2, Randburg won against Rush FC 3-0

The play-off for next summer league saw Sundowners beat Sandton Warriors 4-2

Summer Cup – Semifinals results

In Division 1, Joburg Atletico and Warriors 1 will face next week in the final after Atletico beat Global at penalties, while Warriors beat Highlands 3-2

In Division 2, Rush reached the final after beating Sandton Warriors 1-0 and they will play Randburg, winners (3-2) against Lenasia

Both finals will be played at Panorama the 31st of May. Following a draw, the division 2 final will be played on the A field, and the division 1 final on the B field

The playoff game between Sundowners FC and Sandton Warriors will also be played the 31st of May, on the C field

Summer Cup – Semifinals

With all the games being played, it’s now time to focus on the semifinals, to be plated the 24.05.2023

Division 1 Cup:

Warriors 1 (Group A winners) vs Highlands Park A (Group C winners) at Discovery Soccer Park

Global United (Group B winners) vs Joburg Atletico (best 2nd) at Panorama Sports Club

Division 2 Cup:

Randburg AFC (Group A winners) vs Lenasia Old Bous (Group C winners) at Randburg Football Club

Rush FC (Group B winners) vs Sandton Warriors (best 2nd) at Panorama Sports Club

Summer Cup – Round 6 results

In the division 1 Cup, Global beat Randfontein 8-0, while Olympia beat Florida 6-2. In the last game of the groups, Old Parks and Sundowners shared a point with a 2-2

In the division 2 Cup, Rush beat Panorama 2-1, while Lenasia beat Sandton Warriors 5-3. In the other game , GPMI lost 6-1 to Randburg

Summer Cup – Round 5 results

In the division 1 cup, Joburg Atletico beat Randfontein 2-1, Warriors beat Olympia 3-2 while Sundowners beat Highlands Park 2-1

In the division 2 cup, Panorama beat Pandas 6-0, while Sandton Warriors beat Old Parks 4-2 and Randburg beat Bosmont 3-2

With only one round to go, and few games to catch up, Warriors 1 already qualified for the semifinals in Division 1 while all the other groups are still getting decided in the last games

Summer Cup – Round 4 results

In the Division 1 cup, Joburg Atletico vs Global was called off because of bad weather. In the other games Warriors beat Florida 12-4 and Highlands beat Old Parks 8-2

In the Divisdion 2 cup, Rush Ruimsig beat Drunken Pandas 7-6 and Lenasia beat Old Parks 7-0. GPMI vs Bosmont was interrupted due to issues with the generators

Summer Cup – Round 3 results

In the Division 1 Summer Cup, Olympia beat Florida 13-2, while Global beat Ranfontein 6-2. In the last game of the cup, Sundowners beat Old Parks 4-2

In the Division 2 Summer Cup, Rush Ruimsig beat Panorama 1-0 in a tight contest. Randburg and GPMI finished 2-2 and Lenasia lost to Sandton 4-2

Summer Cup – Round 2 results

In the Division 1 Cup, Joburg Atletico bounced back from the first round defeat with a 5-2 win at Randfontei, while Warriors beat new entry Olympia 7-2. Highlands beat 5-0 Sundowners in the last group

In the Division 2 Cup, Panorama started with a 7-1 away win at Drunken Pandas. Randburg won 2-1 against Bosmont and Sandton Warrior beat Old Parks 5-0
