The 2023/24 Vets Summer League is poised for an electrifying comeback on November 8th, reverting to its traditional structure of two divisions, each comprising nine teams. This restructuring comes on the heels of the dynamic promotion and relegation process witnessed in the last Summer League.
To ensure a robust and competitive league, adjustments have been made. These exceptions cater to the league’s equilibrium, considering the new teams that joined in the winter as well as those that have departed.

The opening round of matches on November 8th promises to set the tempo for a season of thrilling football.
The league schedule will be released promptly, ensuring teams and fans alike can prepare for the excitement that lies ahead.
Global United clinched their inaugural League Cup triumph in a thrilling encounter, overcoming the resilient winter champions, Highlands Park B, in a goal-fest that concluded with a scoreline of 5-3.



Meanwhile, in the second division, a fierce rivalry was renewed in Randburg as last year’s dominant forces clashed in a highly anticipated showdown. Panorama, who had previously secured back-to-back league titles, found themselves bested by Randburg. Randburg, with two consecutive second-place finishes in the league behind Panorama but reigning cup champions, showcased their mettle with a convincing 3-1 victory.


Commendations are in order for both victorious teams as they have set a high bar for competitive spirit and excellence. Anticipation now builds for the Summer League’s commencement next week, where the stage is set for another chapter of enthralling football drama.

Congratulations to Joburg City on winning the Division 3 Winter League Cup, defeating GPMI 4-2 in the final.

In Division 1, Global beat Sundowners 4-1 and will face Winter champions Highlands Park A in the final, after they beat Jozi Friends 2-1.
In Division 2, Panorama beat Sandton Warriors 4-0 and will play the final against Randburg, who beat Lenasia 3-1. Randburg reached their second final in a row and will try to prevent Panorama from winning the double.
The Division 1 and Division 2 finals will be played next week, on November 1st.

On the evening of Friday, October 13th, the Divisional Cup draws for Divisions 1 and 2 were unveiled, and the Division 3 Cup Final details were announced.

Division 3 Cup Final: The showdown between Joburg City and GMPI is set for October 25th at the Corinthias Grounds.

Division 2 concluded with unparalleled drama. Panorama secured a 3-1 victory in the double header against Rush, while Randburg clinched an impressive 8-1 win on the road. Though both teams ended on equal points, Panorama claimed the title due to a superior goal difference and a more favorable head-to-head record.
Kudos to both teams for elevating Division 2 to thrilling heights this season.
Over in Division 3, Joburg City and GPMI are set to face off in the Div 3 cup final, following resounding victories over Old Parks 2 (8-0) and Florida (4-2), respectively.

In Division 1, Atletico triumphed over Jozi Friends with a 4-1 scoreline, which consequently crowned Highlands Park A as the division champions.
Over in Division 2, as the final round approaches, Randburg secured a 4-1 victory against Old Parks. Meanwhile, Panorama edged out Lenasia in a thrilling 5-3 encounter. With a double header lined up for Panorama next week, they have the advantage over Randburg, both in their head-to-head record (4-3) and goal difference.
In Division 3, Drunken Pandas beat Old Parks 2 2-1, while the Florida vs Joburg City game was cancelled due to poor lighting (the victory wa assigned to Joburg City)
