Summer League – 3rd round results

In Division 1, Warriors lost their first game in a long time againt Ranfontein (4-1 was the final score). Global also joined two teams at top with a 3-0 win against Happy Deals.

In the other game, Florida and Old Parks ended an entertaining match with a final score of 5-5

In Division 2, Drunken Pandas beat Warriors 3-1, Randburg beat Bosmont 2-1, Lenasia beat Crusaders 1-0 and GPMI won 3-0 against Old Parks 2. Just like in Division 1, three teams are now on top: Lenasia, Drunken Pandas and Sandton Warriors all at 6 points

Summer League – 2nd round results

With the weather finally giving the teams a break from the stormy week, 7 games were played in the divisions.

In Division 1, Global started their campaign with 6-1 win at Florida, while Warriors continued their 100% record with a 6-2 win against Atletico.

Highlands Park and Randfontein aalso kickstarted their season with 2-0 win against Old Parks and a 1-0 win against Happy Deals.

In Division 2, Sandton Warriors also continued their 100% record with a 2-1 win against Crusaders, while Panorama won their first game of the season away with a 4-3 win at Drunken Pandas. In the other game (Lenasia vs Randburg was postponed due to Diwali), Bosmont beat GPMI 2-1

Summer League – 1st round results

With the usual summer start with storms and flooded fields, only few games were played.

In Division 1, champions Warriors beat Old Parks 5-2, while Happy Deals won with Florida 3-1

In Division 2 BoB returned to the Vets League with a 4-0 defeat against Lenasia. Old Parks 2 lost to Drunken Pandas 3-0 and Sandton Warriors won against Randburg 2-1

Summer League starting the 26th of October

After a 2 weeks break, the Summer League is about to start.

Please check the calendars for Division 1 (8 teams) and Division 2 (9 teams).

Just like last year, bottom 2 teams will be relegated, top 2 will be promoted, with the bottom 3rd and top 3rd from division 2 playing a play-off game in the Finals’ night when the league cups are played.

New rules will be posted soon.

Winter League – Finals

It was an evening of great football at Panorama, closing the curtain on the winter season.

In the Champions cup, Warriors completed their amazing season with a 2-1 against Global United.

In the Challengers cup, Highlands Park A beat Randfontein 4-1

In the Divission 1 play-off game, Happy Deals beast Old Parks 3-2

Winter League – Cups semifinals results

In the champions cup, the final will be between the top 2 teams of Division 1: champions Warriors 1 (who beat Happy Deals 11-2) and Global United (5-0 win against Drunken Pandas).

In the challangers cup, Highlands A book their place in the final with a 3-0 win away at Panorama, while Randofontein continued their excellent recent form with a 2-1 away at Randburg.

Winter League – Quarter Finals Results

In the champions cup, Global advanced by default with a 3-0 win against Highlands Park B, while Drunken Pandas surprised Atletico with a 2-1 win. The two teams will play at Global for a place in the final.

In the other side of the draw, Happy Deals beat Florida 5-2 and will face at home Warrios 1, who won 3-1 against Old Parks.

In the challengers cup, Panorama will face Highlands Park A after winning 7-1 against Old Parks (Highlands Park A advanced due to a forfeit against GPMI). In the other quarter finals, both division 2 teams beat their division 1 opponent, with Randburg now facing a home semifinal against a red hot Randfontein (winners of the last 8 games) after beating 3-1 Crusaders and 4-2 Lenasia.

Winter League – Cup Preliminary Round

With the leagues done and dusted, it’s now time to focus on the Champions and Challengers Cups.

The first preliminary round (played only in the Challengers Cup) saw Sandton Warriors lose to Randfontein 2-0. Randfontein advances and will play Lenasia in the next round

Winter League – 18th round results

With Division 1 done and dusted, it was time for the exciting finish of Division 2:

Randfontein got automatically promoted with a 7-0 win away aty GPMI, while Florida lost at home to Randburg. In the other game, Sandton Warriors ended on a high with a 5-0 win against champions Highlands Park B.

With only one game left there is still a cahnce for Old Parks to finish 3rd and leap frog Florida for the last promotion chance.
