After back-to-back seasons finishing in the top three, Joburg City’s dominance this year has been undeniable, winning 7 of their 8 matches so far and remaining unbeaten throughout the campaign.

As the end of the season draws closer, the leagues are heating up, with titles, promotions, and relegations all on the line.
Joburg City officially secured the Division 1 title after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over closest rivals Sundowners. With the win, Joburg City now sits 7 points clear at the top, making it mathematically impossible for Sundowners to catch them with just two games remaining.
Meanwhile, Global United continued their late-season resurgence, beating Flying Eagles 6-0 in a commanding performance.
In Division 2, Old Parks took a major step toward lifting the title, beating Leeds 5-0 to open up a 3-point lead at the top. With only two matches left, they are now firmly in the driver’s seat.
Elsewhere, Rush finally broke their winless streak, claiming their first victory of the season with a 2-1 result against Lenasia. In another fixture, GPMI suffered a 3-0 defeat to Rietvlei.
Division 3 remains wide open after Sandton Warriors maintained their lead at the summit by beating Randburg 5-1 in an impressive away performance. The title race is far from over, with four teams separated by just 5 points and only two rounds left to play.
Randfontein moved into second place after a narrow win over Old Parks, keeping their own promotion hopes very much alive.

NO MATCHES will commence this week and ALL fixtures for the 8th Jan will be pushed out to the 29th Jan and will reflect on the fixture timetable as such. The ref convener will be alerted. The 2025 season will now officially start next week, 15 Jan, you can begin to prepare for that now instead.
